As the centers of literary and cultural activities, libraries serve their populations with a wide variety of services and programs. The Association of Library Communications and Outreach Professionals is dedicated to promoting the work of the men and women who are responsible for delivering the message of a library's importance to the community through public relations, special events, fundraising, and program development.
